The building was originally built as a third-age care home.<br \/>After changing owners, this project <strong>changed use and shape into a dwelling building<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>extension to the rear of the building<\/strong> allowed for its <strong>maximisation of the built allowable area<\/strong>. The<br \/>internal re-distribution and reduction in the number of staircases allowed an increased number of flats,<br \/>going from 10 to 14, and a considerable<strong> increase in the ROI.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Most dwellings were designed with <strong>significant architectural elements <\/strong>from the original building, such<br \/>as bay windows, chimneys, or arches.
